Born on December 30, 1981, in Tikri village, Neelam is the daughter of Jaipal Singh Daral and Nirmala Devi. She had her early education in Dhakla village and her higher studies in Rohtak. She is a great believer in education as she has her Master’s in English (MA) and Bachelor’s in Education (B.Ed.)—a reflection of her commitment to education and self-improvement.
Personal Life
Neelam got married in 2005 to Krishna from Dichaun village, whose family holds a socially affluent status. Neelam has two sons. Encouraged by her brother-in-law Bharat Singh, who is a social activist as well as a former MLA of Najafgarh, Neelam committed herself to community service and making a difference in people’s lives.
Political Journey and Achievements
Neelam Krishan Pahalwan’s political journey began in 2012 when she won the election for Municipal Councillor by more than 5,000 votes. Her leadership qualities made her the Chairperson of the Works Construction Committee of the Municipal Corporation for 2012-2016 and the longest-serving Chairperson of this body. She was elected Chairperson of the Najafgarh region in 2017 and earned herself the image of an excellent leader.
During the 2022 Delhi Municipal Corporation Election, she fought from 128-DICHAON KALAN (South-West) and won, reiterating her devotion to the people. The 2025 Delhi Assembly Elections were a turning point in her political career. Running on a BJP ticket, Neelam Krishan Pahalwan secured the Najafgarh constituency with a landslide victory of 29,009 votes over AAP’s Tarun Kumar. This rout demonstrated her popularity and unwavering dedication to the people of Najafgarh.
Social Work and Community Involvement
Neelam Krishan Pahalwan’s dedication is much broader than the political sphere. She personally interacts with social communities in Najafgarh, supporting orphanages as well as old age homes.
